Founders
Blaine Price
Professor Blaine Price is a computer scientist who spent his early career at The Open University developing the internet infrastructure that transformed the university from paper and post to online delivery. He co-founded the OU’s Digital Health Lab and his research in privacy, self-quantification and digital health resulted in millions of pounds of grant funding where he lead projects as principal and co-investigator. In 2024, he was awarded the title Emeritus Professor and left full time academic research at the OU after 33 years in order to commercialise his work through HealthTech Un Limited.

Oliver Pearce
Professor Oliver Pearce is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 15 years experience … He has been the Director of Trauma at Milton Keynes University Hospital since and is the Vice Chair of Research. He is the UK lead for Rapid Recovery Programme after hip and knee surgery, and sits on the European Advisory Board for this. In 2014 he met Blaine after a TV appearance and together they began trying to solve clinical problems using technology. They developed and deployed the PainPad pain logging device which has been trialled in hospital with hundreds of patients. They formed HealthTech Un Limited to commercialise their medical technology ideas. Together they hold two device patents while Oli holds 2 medical garment patents, one of which has been commercialised.
